Living Middle Ages

Middle Ages in the best location

Guided tour of the city and museum visit

The Middle Ages are still very present in Cologne (in squares, in churches or in streets). The Cologne workshops produced works of art that were known far beyond the city's borders. The artistic schools were shaped by influences from the Netherlands, France and Westphalia and led to an own style of the Cologne workshops.

The city tour combines a walk through the city with a visit to a museum. Here you can rediscover many a place you have already seen on the walk. The collection of the Wallraf-Richartz-Museum & Fondation Corboud offers a wealth of Cologne masters, in whose works of art the Middle Ages can be experienced again.

  • Cologne Cathedral (from the outside)
