Cologne offers a highly varied landscape of museums. As one of the oldest institutions, the Wallraf-Richartz-Museum & Foundation Corboud offers it’s famous collection of Medevial and Baroque art treasures. The top floor contains a wide collection of Impressionists and Postimpressionists. Vis à vis to the city hall, you get the opportunity to visit the great collection of the WRM. Explore the highlights of the permanent collection which is exhibitied on the three floors of the museum. The “younger sister“ of the Wallraf-Richartz-Museum & Fondation Corboud is the Museum Ludwig near the Central train station and the Cathedral. Donated by Irene and Peter Ludwig, it contains the collection of the WRM’s Contemporary Art and Modern Art. The couple bequeathed Cologne not only their Picasso-Collection but also a farsighted conglomerate of Pop-art, Russian Avantgarde and Contemporary art.
